Part-time, Casual basis

 

Mystery Creek Events Centre is a premier events facility situated approximately 10 minutes from Hamilton City, Te Awamutu and  Cambridge.  Each year Mystery Creek Events Centre hosts a number of events, including The New Zealand National Agricultural Fieldays, the largest agricultural event in the southern hemisphere, Waikato Boat, Fishing and Leisure Show, School Balls, Corporate Gala Dinners, Team Building Activities, Conferences, Sporting and Cultural Events.

 

Mystery Creek Events Centre is now accepting expressions of interest from people seeking casual, part-time work as Hospitality Staff for the 2010 year and beyond.

 

In order to be successful in the events industry, you must be flexible, committed and focused on team work.

 
Applicants must possess the following;

 

  • Honesty
  • A hard working attitude
  • Reliability
  • Dedication
  • Friendliness
  • Positive outlook
  • Commitment
  • Bar Managers Certificate and/or LCQ Certificate (preferable, but not essential)
  • Transportation and current NZ drivers license

Tasks will include serving tables, working behind the bar and cleaning up after events. On occasions you may be asked to help with the setup of events. Setup requires staff to stock fridges, place tables and chairs out, table decorations and other tasks as assigned by the Event Coordinator.  The work available will be of a non-regular and events-based nature, when the need for staffing arises.
